Sad Meats | Munchies | Vice

I photographed some sad German cold cuts for my friend in food Phillip Turo. I hope you'll agree with me (and him) when I say there's a strangely ethereal quality to these slices when viewed up close. They are the sort of thing I could imagine tear-stained angels or multi-eyed extraterrestrials eating in coloured gas clouds at the edge of our galaxy. Or even that these meats were the gas clouds in which they were floating, eating something else.

Either way, please look upon them and feel becalmed.
